The Teacher Center Program is concerned
with professional and educational growth of teachers. It includes
long and short term workshops, formal in-service courses,
university graduate courses, workshops conducted in school,
demonstrations in the classrooms, and presentations at conferences
after schools, on weekends and summer seminars. The expertise
of active teaches, who may serve as turnkey trainers, is used
to deliver programs in curriculum, classroom management and
needs of diverse students. Consultants, outside the district,
who are experts in their field are also used. Mini-grants
are offered to those who develop proposals of educational
worth that will have direct impact in the classroom.
