Building Strong Math Foundations: Engaging Minds, Empowering Success

At North Bellmore, we are committed to fostering a love of math and helping every student develop the skills needed to succeed. Our mathematics program is designed to engage students in problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical reasoning. We focus on building a strong foundation in key areas such as number sense, operations, geometry, measurement, data analysis, and algebraic thinking.

Through hands-on activities, real-world applications, and collaborative learning, we aim to make math both meaningful and enjoyable. Our curriculum is aligned with New York State Standards and encourages students to explore mathematical concepts in depth while developing essential skills that they will use throughout their lives. Whether it's through engaging classroom lessons, interactive resources, or personalized support, our goal is to empower all students to become confident, capable mathematicians.

Envision Math ensures a balanced approach to math instruction, with a focus on conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world applications.

In addition to our core math curriculum, North Bellmore also utilizes the i-Ready Math Diagnostic and its personalized instructional pathway to further enhance student learning. i-Ready provides individualized diagnostic assessments that identify each student’s strengths and areas for growth. Based on these results, i-Ready creates a personalized learning plan tailored to each student’s needs, helping them progress at their own pace.

The i-Ready instructional pathway delivers targeted lessons and practice activities that address specific skill gaps, ensuring that students receive the support they need to build confidence and mastery in math. This supplemental tool works alongside our Envision Math curriculum to provide differentiated instruction and continuous progress monitoring. By combining the i-Ready diagnostic and personalized lessons with our core curriculum, we can offer a well-rounded and effective math program that meets the unique needs of every student.

Through hands-on learning experiences and interactive activities, we aim to build confident, capable mathematicians in every grade!
