At North Bellmore, we are passionate about igniting curiosity and fostering a love of science in all of our students. Our science program emphasizes inquiry-based instruction, allowing students to explore, experiment, and ask questions as they discover the world around them. Through hands-on activities and real-world connections, we encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are essential for success in the 21st century.

Aligned with New York State standards, our science curriculum is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in key scientific concepts while promoting a deep understanding of how science impacts our daily lives. By nurturing curiosity and supporting inquiry, we empower our students to become lifelong learners and confident scientific thinkers.

We utilize top-tier curricular resources to provide a comprehensive science education. In grades K-5, students engage with National Geographic Exploring Science, which offers an exciting, hands-on approach to learning. This resource fosters curiosity through real-world connections, interactive activities, and captivating visuals, helping students grasp key scientific concepts. In Grade 6, we transition to Savvas Elevate Science, a rigorous and interactive program that builds on the foundation laid in earlier grades. This resource challenges students with inquiry-based learning and deeper exploration of scientific principles, preparing them for future academic success. Both programs align with state standards and encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.
