Exploring the World of Science: Life, Earth, and Physical Discoveries
At North Bellmore, our science curriculum is designed to provide students with a well-rounded understanding of the natural world through the study of three key areas: Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science. Each year, students explore these topics in depth, building on their knowledge and skills as they progress through the grades. In Life Science, students investigate living organisms, ecosystems, and the intricate relationships between them. In Earth Science, they explore the Earth's systems, weather patterns, and natural resources. Finally, in Physical Science, students dive into the principles of matter, energy, and the forces that shape our world. Through engaging, hands-on learning experiences, students develop a deep understanding of how science impacts the world around them and how they can make meaningful contributions to our future.
Each year, students build on their knowledge from previous grades, reinforcing key scientific concepts while developing skills in observation, inquiry, and problem-solving. The curriculum focuses on engaging, real-world science experiences that encourage curiosity and foster a love for learning.
