Football Stars Showcase Skills in Annual Competition
North Bellmore students put their football skills to the test during the final round of the Punt, Pass, Kick competition on Oct. 27 at the Saw Mill Road Elementary School fields. Participants showcased their throwing, kicking and punting abilities.
The fourth, fifth and sixth grade winners from each elementary school came together for the last leg of the annual competition, under the leadership of the district’s physical education teachers. After participating in the three events, students could then choose one to redo and try to get a better score.
Once the final scores were tallied, the winners in each grade level were announced and presented with medal and trophies. The event, which is a fall tradition in physical education classes, encourages students to stay active, build confidence and celebrate their progress in a friendly competitive environment.
