The North Bellmore Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, Sept. 10, to hold initial discussions regarding district’s ongoing facilities needs, proposed capital improvements and a potential no-tax-impact bond referendum anticipated for December 2026. 

The meeting will provide the Board and community with an opportunity to review a facilities project plan being developed to address priority infrastructure, safety, accessibility and learning-environment needs throughout the district. Additional information and opportunities for community engagement will be provided as the plan develops and is officially adopted by the Board. 

“These potential projects represent a long-term investment in our schools and in the safety, accessibility and quality of our learning environments,” said Superintendent of Schools Marie L. Testa. “The Sept. 10 meeting is an important opportunity to review the proposed work, discuss priorities and provide the community with greater insight into the planning process as we look ahead to a potential December bond referendum at no additional tax impact to our community.”
 
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Martin Avenue School cafeteria, 2616 Martin Ave. Bellmore, NY 11710. Members of the community are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the district’s facilities priorities and the potential bond program.
