“I get to be a kid, too, today,” Park Avenue Elementary School fourth grade teacher Lauren Manginelli exclaimed as she watched her students play a variety of games around the classroom on Feb. 5.

The North Bellmore School District announces the appointment of Brigid Siena as the new assistant superintendent for business. Ms. Siena officially joins the elementary district on Feb. 23.   

Kindergartners at Martin Avenue Elementary School showed their generosity with a successful fundraiser for the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. Their reward? A visit at school from two therapy dogs.

A solar phenomenon was the inspiration for a third grade art project at Martin Avenue Elementary School. Students completed drawings to capture the northern lights.  

String students from North Bellmore’s five elementary schools came together for the annual District Orchestra Winter Concert on Dec. 8 at the Brookside School.

JoAnn Belferder’s classroom was filled with energy for a lesson on that scientific concept on Nov. 20 at Newbridge Road Elementary School.

Integers, rational numbers and the coordinate plane may seem like advanced math concepts, but sixth graders at Saw Mill Road Elementary School are mastering the topics.

As they circled the back field at Saw Mill Road Elementary School on Nov. 3, students experienced how easy it is to get some exercise.

On a sunny but chilly morning that certainly felt like football weather, more than 30 students from the North Bellmore School District gathered to put their athletic skills to test.

Hundreds of handmade cards were delivered to local firefighters, as students at Saw Mill Road Elementary School showed gratitude to the volunteers. 

A warm and sunny fall morning provided the perfect opportunity for students to walk or bike to school on Oct. 3. Newbridge Road Elementary School participated in the National Walk to School Day
